Eddie Ilarde, 85
Former senator and broadcaster Eddie Ilarde has passed away. He was 85.
Ilarde is best known for hosting the noontime show “Student Canteen” and the advice program “Kahapon Lamang.”
He ventured into politics in 1963 as Pasay City Councilor eventually becoming the representative of the first district of Rizal then a Senator and an Assemblyman during the time of former President Ferdinand Marcos.
