NDF peace consultant, Ex-Anakpawis chair Echanis killed in QC home

National Democratic Front peace consultant Randall "Randy" Echanis was killed in his rented house in Quezon City on Monday morning.
Anakpawis Partylist and Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas confirmed the death of Echanis, age 72, in Barangay Nova Proper, Novaliches.
Another man was found dead near his unit.
The police have yet to release an official report on the incident.
Echanis led campaigns for genuine agrarian reform as the chairman of Anakpawis and deputy secretary general of KMP. He was arrested several times during the Marcos, Aquino, and Arroyo administrations.
Militant lawmakers condemned Echanis’ killing.
