The office of Vice President Leni Robredo has provided unemployed Filipinos an easier way to look for work opportunities online.

Through the newly-launched “Bayanihanapbuhay” platform, Filipino workers, especially those who lost their jobs because of the pandemic, can look for openings for free.

According to the office of the Vice President, the platform is an initiative in coordination with sikap.ph.

“We have been receiving a lot of SOS messages from people looking for work. When we were doing our shuttle services, we had passengers who were doing door-to-door job applications. We hope that, through this platform, they would have an easier time finding work opportunities,” Robredo said in a statement.

The platform can be accessed through mobile phones or computers. Job seekers can sign up at the sikap.ph website.

Robredo also encouraged employers to post job vacancies on the online platform. To date, it already has 2,796 job postings.

“In the coming days, we hope to post more job openings as we continue to invite more partners to join our bayanihan efforts,” Robredo said.

Interested employers may send their job postings at bayanihanapbuhay@ovp.gov.ph.
