Oil firms announce hike in fuel prices

Local oil companies announced on Monday that they will increase the prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene starting July 28.

Pilipinas Shell, Chevron Philippines, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines, and Petro Gazz issued separate advisories to announce the price adjustment.

Effective 6 a.m., Shell said it will raise the price of gasoline by P0.30 per liter; kerosene, P0.30/liter; and diesel, P0.25/liter. Shell attributed the adjustment in gasoline prices to more expensive ethanol.

Chevron Philippines said it will hike the price of Platinum and Silver (gasoline) by P0.30/liter; diesel, P0.25/liter; and kerosene, P0.30/liter. The adjustment will take effect at 12:01 a.m.

Seaoil will adjust fuel prices effective 6 a.m. Gasoline will go up by P0.30, diesel by P0.25 and kerosene by P0.30.

Cleanfuel said it will implement the increase in diesel by P0.25/liter and gasoline by P0.30/liter at 4:01 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gasoline from PTT Philippines will go up by P0.30/liter and diesel by P0.25/liter starting 6 a.m.

Petro Gazz will raise the price of diesel by P0.25/liter and gasoline by P0.30/liter effective 6 a.m.
