DILG confirms Cascolan’s appointment as new PNP chief

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has confirmed that PLtGen. Camilo Cascolan is the new Philippine National Police chief.

“President Rodrigo Duterte has just signed his appointment papers,” said Año.

Cascolan currently holds the second highest position in the police force as the Deputy Chief for Administration.

He also served as Director for Operations and Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Cascolan is a mistah of outgoing PNP chief PGen. Archie Gamboa who is set to retire tomorrow, September 2.

As the 24th PNP chief, Cascolan only has two months to lead the PNP as he is set to retire on November 10. He will reach the mandatory retirement age of 56 by then.
