The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on September 17 that the league is now set to return with an NBA type bubble set-up in Clark City, Pampanga.

“Though still awaiting the government’s official nod, the pro hoop has scheduled its Season 45 Philippine Cup restart on October 9 at the AUF Gym, with the compact tourney running for two months,” PBA officials disclosed on their official website.

The 12 teams will be taken to Clark City this September 26 to start their scrimmages.

PBA Board Chairman Ricky Vargas shared the league’s excitement about finally pushing through this season, and expressed optimism that there would be no problems to hinder the league’s comeback.

“If we can start tomorrow, we would start tomorrow. The Commissioner’s office has done a good job with the plans, and they’re ready to execute as soon as we’re given a go signal,” Vargas added.
